Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Decoy (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

John McGuire grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal entertainment purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

3. Subscriptions

The App offers an optional Decoy Pro subscription, available on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing:

• Subscriptions are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
• Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price shown at the time of purchase
• You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period, except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policy
• You may restore a previous subscription using the "Restore Purchases" feature
• Decoy Pro is linked to your Apple ID and is available on all devices signed in to that account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App's multiplayer features or servers
• Submit content feedback comments that contain offensive, abusive, or personally identifying information

We reserve the right to delete any submitted feedback at our discretion.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including questions, game mechanics, design, and branding — is owned by John McGuire and protected by copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any App content without written permission.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, John McGuire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data or loss of enjoyment. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Third-Party Services

The App connects to third-party services (Supabase, PostHog, RevenueCat). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of these services. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to multiplayer features at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
